PanCAN’s initial Salesforce setup was not able to easily manage the organization\u2019s clinical trials finder and physicians database.<\/p>

Technology leaders wanted to streamline, centralize, and automate processes to cut down on manual staff efforts. At the same time, they determined that any new system needed to be flexible and robust enough to meet the org’s future needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

PanCAN worked with Heller Consulting to evaluate the organization\u2019s goals and develop a technology strategy that would support those goals today and take the organization well into the future.\n\nThis strategic technology planning and selection process revealed the Salesforce platform as an ideal fit for PanCAN\u2019s needs. Given its focus on UX for internal case managers and the need to manage multiple data sources to effectively match patients with doctors and clinical trials, the Person Accounts model, which is core to the new Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, was an ideal solution. \n\nThe timing meant that PanCAN could take advantage of the latest capabilities available from Salesforce and have the flexibility to adopt other functionality that the platform continues to roll out in the Nonprofit Cloud.\n\nWith a clear technology plan in place, the org moved forward confidently, partnering with Heller to implement the new system.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Now live in Nonprofit Cloud, the PanCAN team can easily match patients with appropriate clinical trials and with healthcare providers who specialize in pancreatic cancer treatments.<\/p>

It also now has access to features and capabilities like the data processing engine for mass record updates and OmniStudio for more tailored user interface capabilities.<\/p>

Team members are guided through a workflow specific to their task. For example, for a patient questionnaire process, the new Nonprofit Cloud allows PanCAN to create a tailored screen that includes only the fields relevant to intake, and then save multiple records at once.<\/p>

Perhaps most importantly, PanCAN has the flexibility to add other capabilities now available to nonprofits for the first time.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
